MHT CET 2020: Apply for exam district change now - education


Maharashtra CET Cell has activated the link to apply for changing district preferences in the application form for MHT CET 2020 examination. Candidates can apply to change the district of their exam centre. The application window will close on June 10. Candidates can apply for changing their exam district on the official website at cetcell.mahacet.com.

“State CET Cell, Mumbai are receiving many requests to allow MHT CET 2020 registered Candidates to change their district preferences for the CBT (Computer Based Test) center for MHT CET 2020 in the situation arisen due to pandemic Covid-19. Considering the request of Parents and Candidates, State CET Cell, is allowing for registered candidates who have finally submitted their application forms for MHT CET 2020 to change their District Preferences,” reads the official notice.

Here are few points to note: 

1. The link will be open for changing the district preferences from June 5, 2020 (0001 Hrs) to June 10, 2020 (2359 Hrs)

2. Once the candidate changes his/her district preferences, his original filled preferences will be null and void.

3. Those candidates are not changing their district preferences, their original filled preferences will be considered for CBT Center allocation.

4. No request for change in district preferences will be entertained after the June 10, 2020 till 2359 hours.

Moreover, CET Cell has also asked the applicants to fill in their HSC 12th board details in their application form. The last date to fill in their HSC Board details in June 7.

“Last date for filling in HSC Board information is till 7th June 2020 (2359 Hrs), those candidates who have failed to fill the same shall be treated as a Maharashtra State SSC Board candidates for allotting examination date. No complaints will be entertained thereafter,” reads the notice.

MHT CET 2020 exam will be conducted on July 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14, 28, 29, 30, and 31 and on August 3, 4, and 5, 2020.

AIIMS admit card for BSc post-basic nursing, MSc nursing and various other exams released at aiimsexams.org - education


All India Institute of Medical Sciences, or AIIMS, on Friday, released the admit card for various entrance examinations on its official website. The admit card has been released for M.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Post Basic (Nursing), DM/M.Ch./MD (Hospital Administration), and Fellowship Programme Entrance Examination 2020.

Candidates who have registered for the entrance examination can download their admit card online at aiimsexams.org.

4. A new page will appear on the display screen

Indira Gandhi National Open University, or IGNOU, has activated the online project submission link on its official website. In view of the Covid-19 pandemic, the varsity has decided to ‘introduce and adopt Online Mode to submit final Project/Dissertation/Fieldwork Journals/Internship Report’ for students.

Students can submit their final project/dissertation/fieldwork Journals/Internship Reports online at ignou.ac.in on or before June 15, 2020.

“The learners are required to obtain digitally approval in prescribed proforma of the Guide/Supervisor through e-mail before submitting the project online. For seeking the approval of Synopsis, the project proposal can be forwarded to the concerned Regional Centre at www.ignou.ac.in > Regional Network > Regional Centre’s (E-mail ID of all RC’s are available at http://www.ignou.ac.in/ignou/aboutignou/regional/website) or to the concerned School at www.ignou.ac.in > about IGNOU > School of Studies (E-mail ID of all Faculties are available at http://www.ignou.ac.in/ignou/aboutignou/school),” reads the official notice.

UPPSC PCS ACF RFO exam 2020 postponed, details here - education


Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has postponed the examination for recruitment of Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF), Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services (PCS), and Range Forest Officer (RFO).

The examination was scheduled to be conducted on June 21 which has been postponed till further notice due to the coronavirus pandemic. The new date of examination will be notified in the due course of time.

The UPPSC recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 200 vacancies of Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF) and Range Forest Officer (RFO).

Earlier the deadline to apply for UPPSC PCS, ACF, RFO exam was also extended due to the coronavirus lockdown. Initially the deadline to apply for the exam was May 21 which was then extended till June 4 while the last date to pay the application fee was pushed from May 18 to June 2.

Candidates are advised to visit the official website of UPPSC at uppsc.up.nic.in for regular updates.

SEBA Assam Board 10th result 2020 announced at sebaonline.org, all you need to know - education


The Board of Secondary Education Assam, or SEBA, on Saturday, declared the class 10th or HSLC result 2020 on its official website. A total of 64.8% students have passed the exam. Last year the pass percent was 60.23.

Students who have appeared in the Assam HSLC examination 2020 can check their results online at sebaonline.org. Students can check their scorecard on the official website. Students will have to log in using their credentials to check their SEBA HSLC Result 2020.

This year, Dhritiraj Bastav Kalita of Padum Pukhuri High School in Darrang has bagged the first rank scoring 595 out of total 600 marks. Alankrita Gautam Baruah of Salt Brook School, Dibrugarh has got second rank with 594 marks.

A total of 3.48 lakh students including 163,999 boys, 184,747 girls took the HSLC exam while 9,707 students including 3,851 boys, 5,856 girls took the Assam High Madrassa (AHM) exam conducted in February in 860 examination centres.

Assam HSLC Result 2020: Pass percentage, toppers list and other important details of SEBA 10th and AHM results here - education


The Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) announced results of High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Assam High Madrassa (AHM) exams on Saturday morning.

The overall pass percent of HSLC exam was 64.80 with boys (66.93%) outperforming girls (62.91%). In 2019, the overall pass percentage was 60.23. Nalbari district (78.73%) had the highest pass percentage while Dhubri with 44.20 was lowest.

Debisma Priya Borah of Gyanjyoti Academy or Narayanpur in Lakhimpur district, Jyotisman Deva Sarma Sankardev Sishu Bidya Niketan, Barbhag, Nalbari and Chaki G. Bulton of St. Mary’s School, Guwahati came third with 591 marks.

A total of 42 students captured the top 10 rankings in HSLC exam.

The pass percentage for AHM exam was 63.67 with boys (65.25%) bettering girls (62.62%). Jorhat district topped the list with 100% pass percentage while Udalguri came last with 0% (all 3 students who appeared failed).

Eyamin Ali of Dhakua High Madrassa in Barpeta district came first scoring 558 out of 600, Apshana Yesmin of SAB High Madrassa in Kamrup district came second with 552 and Rasidul Ali Sk of Nabajyoti High Madrassa, Howriapet in Kokrajhar came third with 551 marks.

However, the usual bustle and celebrations seen in schools from students, teachers and parents after the announcements are made was missing this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is the first time, results are being provided only in the digital format and Assam government has directed students and parents not to reach schools to know their results and collect mark sheets.

All educational institutions in Assam have remained closed since mid-March due to COVID-19 and some have been turned to quarantine centres. Classes are expected to start for Class 10 and Class 12 students towards the later part of this month.

“Due to the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, the results for this year will be provided only in the digital format online. Students can collect hard copies of their mark sheets and pass certificates from their schools, once they reopen,” SEBA said in a release.

Assam education minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had earlier stated that students can download and print their mark sheets and the same can be used for admissions to colleges, schools etc.

“Utmost care has been taken to ensure accuracy in the results published. If any error is detected, same will be corrected by issuing corrigendum, if necessary, separately or along with the rechecking of results and will be sent to all examination centres,” said the SEBA release.
