Market Job Description
Department Overview Maintenance Planning and Control (MPaC) team manages technology and enterprise projects & initiatives. We work with service partners, application teams, planners, and governance & oversight groups to plan, strategize, facilitate, track, manage and implement operating system configuration, drift and vulnerability change management. MPaC combines Maintenance Planning, Scheduling and Coordination and Maintenance analysis. Our goal is to consistently meet and exceed expectations while constantly improving, changing, and growing our processes and services.
About the Role
This position requires an overall experience of 7 to 11 years to act as an interface between infrastructure planners, application and engineering teams for mass deployments and other infrastructure programs. The job role also includes end to end coordination, validation of scope and readiness, planning with our partners, collaborative schedule development, driving execution and successful closure. Identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities that enhance our service and communications to our customers
Responsibilities:
S trategically analyze large scale deployment projects and their impacts and efficiently schedule and coordinate the deployments via Automation/Manual methods.
Partner and collaborate with DCS execution teams, planners, projects managers, application teams.
Enterprise Change Management under the ITIL framework.
Will include the authoring and monitoring activities for medium-sized, LowPACT/MidPACT (low and medium risk) technology-based projects, or pieces of larger projects, from initiation to delivery. Projects may cross platforms, applications, and/or business lines.
Works with Infrastructure Release Management and Governance to assist in the development of technology concepts, requirements, design alternatives, and project schedules for request initiatives.
Participates in planning and directing program schedules, monitoring project status in comparison to cost/time projections.
Provides consistent and comprehensive status reports, project updates, significant issue tracking, and communication at the team level. Manage 4-5 medium projects and 2-3 small projects concurrently.
Experience in full life-cycle management of application/operating system/layered product infrastructure support and deployment (especially through the use of HPSA/HPOO) in a five-tier distributed environment using the multiple operating systems.
C oordinating and initiating change requests/work orders for the operating system engineers and other support teams to work on various support efforts that are requested by the application groups (using standardized processes/procedures).
Keep the project documents, artifacts upto date.
A ttend and represent the Release calls for the assigned projects to discuss the testing, planning and scheduling activities.
Essential Qualifications:
3 years of Change Management
2 years of large scale deployment projects project management
2 years of Risk Remediation projects such as application or operating system vulnerability management
1 years of experience in preparing metrics, KPI dashboards and trending charts
Proficient with Microsoft Office products
Updates/upgrades to server layered products or middleware based upon environment and request type
Scheduling audit and compliance remediation related activities
Assisted in or directly led change events
Desired Qualifications:
ITIL certified.
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficient knowledge in MS Office Products and Advanced knowledge in MS Excel.
Market Skills and Certifications
– Use of standard PMI (PMBOK) based project methodologies required.
– Must be proficient in MS Office.
– Knowledge of JIRA and Remedy a plus.
– Combination of education and work experience typically equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years technical project management experience.
– PMI and ITIL certification preferred.
